After high school, a cousin brother asked me to assist him in his music studio. He taught me the basics of recording. I worked with him for several months. On August 1, 2005, I joined Bhutan Broadcasting Service Corporation as a Sound Technician after sitting through an interview with hundred other capable candidates. As a Sound Technician, my main job was to record voiceovers for radio and television programs. I also had to record songs and skits from different schools, Dzongkhags (districts), institutions and private dance groups. Owing to my interactive and easygoing nature, I got along well with everybody in the organisation. Besides, I have always been keen on learning new things, not to mention my childhood obsession with radio and television personalities.Eventually, I got to sit with anchors and producers, observe them and learn from them. Though I did this merely out of habit and curiosity, and didn’t expect anything to come of it, my keen interest in radio jockeying however didn’t go unnoticed. The management decided to assign me to the radio studio as a trainee presenter. During this time, I hosted radio talk shows as well as perform my duty as a Sound Technician without fail. Working as a Radio Presenter and Sound Technician wasn’t all fun and games. It required a great deal of hard work and proper time management on my part. Yet I pulled it off diligently with my undying passion to push me through as an added advantage. At the end of the day, I found my job totally challenging and equally fulfilling. To make things even more better for an aspiring journalist, the management noticed the effort I was putting into my job and hence, promoted me from a support staff to a professional journalist with due approval from the Board of Directors. Along with my experience and several trainings outside the country to hone my presentation skills, I only got better at my job with each passing day. Gradually, I was offered to host several reality television shows. I hosted my first TV show in 2011. It was called The Little Stars, a singing competition among the children. After that, I anchored The Voice of Drukyul and The Super Star - Seasons I & II. Both were musical shows wherein only the grownups participated.
By then, I was a popular radio and television personality. The management has since then asked me to read news on television
